Lighting design commissions
These Terms govern architectural lighting design services provided by Luz Quietud ("we") to clients ("you") for residential projects in Madrid and surrounding areas, Spain.
Guide prices on our website are indicative. A binding quote follows on-site review or remote assessment and confirmed scope. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless material costs change materially. Commissions are confirmed upon signed agreement and deposit receipt where applicable.
On-site lighting review fee (€160) is due at booking. Design commissions may require a deposit stated on the quote—typically 50% to commence plan production. Balance is due on plan delivery unless agreed otherwise. The review fee is credited toward commissions above €720 when you proceed within 60 days.
Lighting plans, fixture schedules, dimming specifications and electrician briefs must be reviewed and approved before electrical installation begins. Changes requested after approval may incur additional cost at €110/h. We are not responsible for discrepancies arising from client-approved plans or third-party installation errors.
On-site reviews may be cancelled without charge if rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Design cancellations after deposit forfeit the deposit and may incur costs for work already completed. Custom lighting plans cannot be returned once delivered to your specifications.
Visit dates are agreed in advance. You must ensure access to all rooms, working light where needed and that pets or sensitive areas are managed. Travel beyond the M-30 may incur a supplementary fee quoted before booking.
Luz Quietud is a design studio. We do not supply or install luminaires or electrical work. Your electrician or contractor is responsible for installation according to our specifications and applicable Spanish electrical regulations (Reglamento Electrotécnico para Baja Tensión). We offer coordination during rough-in and trim-out for full flat and premium projects as specified in the quote.
Lighting plans and schedules remain our intellectual property until full payment is received, after which you receive a licence to use them for the specified project. Plans may not be reproduced for other properties without written consent.
We may photograph completed work for portfolio use unless you opt out in writing before project completion. Personal photography of your home remains your responsibility.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant commission except where Spanish mandatory consumer law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007) provides otherwise. We are not liable for indirect loss such as temporary accommodation costs or delays caused by third-party trades beyond our control.
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. For consumers, place of jurisdiction is Madrid, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions that may entitle you to bring proceedings in your place of residence within the EU.
